5 steps to window funding
- 1
Involve an energy efficiency expert (EEE)
BEG funding requires a registered energy efficiency expert (EEE). We coordinate the right EEE for your project.
- 2
File the application BEFORE awarding the contract
The BAFA application must be filed before you award the contract – otherwise funding is lost. Together with the EEE we ensure the correct order.
- 3
Choose eligible windows (Uw ≤ 0.95)
Only windows with a U-value of at most 0.95 W/(m²K) are eligible. We advise on suitable PVC, aluminium or wood-aluminium models.
- 4
Professional RAL-compliant installation
Professional installation also counts as an eligible cost. We fit to RAL standard – all from one source, including disposal of the old windows.
- 5
Submit proof & receive payment
After completion you submit the proof; BAFA pays out the subsidy. We provide all the documents needed for the installation.
Why window funding in Celle is especially worthwhile
Celle combines two very different building stocks: the listed half-timbered old town with its often historic windows and the rural single-family-home belt in the Allertal from the 1960s to 1990s. Both offer considerable renovation potential - and both can be funded. Important for Celle: windows made of wood and wood-aluminium are also eligible, provided a Uw value ≤ 0.95 is achieved; this is a decisive point especially for the heritage-friendly look in the townscape. VL-Innovativbau guides you through the entire funding process: we coordinate the mandatory energy efficiency expert, pay attention to the right application timing (application before the contract is awarded) and install your new windows professionally in line with RAL standards. This way you combine the right look, the maximum grant and better thermal insulation - subject to funding approval and any heritage-protection requirements.

Frequently asked questions about funding
Yes. BAFA funds windows regardless of material, as long as a Uw value ≤ 0.95 is achieved - including wood and wood-aluminium windows, which are often desired in the townscape and on heritage-adjacent buildings in Celle. A 15% grant applies, up to 20% with an iSFP, subject to funding approval.
For the single-family-home stock from the 1960s to 1990s in the Allertal, the same BAFA rules apply: Uw value ≤ 0.95, application before the contract is awarded and involvement of the energy efficiency expert. We coordinate this for you and install professionally in line with RAL standards.
For listed buildings, additional heritage-protection requirements can apply; clarification takes place with the responsible authority. For the BAFA federal subsidy, the Uw value ≤ 0.95 remains decisive. We advise you on the technical solution and coordinate the energy efficiency expert, but do not provide legal advice.
